Love the Tiguan, having had it for 1 year now. The active info display, full sunroof and other specs of the SEL are great. Running costs proving good - averaging 60 mpg, first service due around 18k miles. Had internet connectivity problems with Car-Net system which VW were unable to fix - so can’t get full traffic info on built-in sat-nav, but this doesn’t really bother me, I use Apple Car Play instead. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone considering it.

The car is fantastic but I have had a small problem with the brakes which started occurring about 6 months after delivery. I called your number to discuss the problem and you referred me to Lex Autolease. They said I don't have a maintenance contract so cannot help. The obvious point here is that I don't have a planned maintenance request I have a defect. Terrible service. Anyway I contacted VW out of my own accord and currently they are debating the issue. Will see what happens but not impressed with the after service from either Nationwide or Lex. Simon Jones

I’m very impressed overall a lovely car to drive with outstanding performance, only gripe is the windscreen seems fragile, already had to replace two in one year from instantly spreaded small stone chips. Maybe just bad luck!

good design, colour and specification. Comfortable and quiet on the road. Good all rounder, just need to keep the better half from finding the keys!

Looks great, but not fantastic to drive. We’re continually adding Adblue which is costly and a pain. It’s also awful in the snow.

Like the comfort and driving position. Good variable boot space, accommated 4 adults & 4 large suitcases comfortably. Reversing camera should be fitted as standard. Ignition lock should be illuminated.

The Tiguan SEL has all the kit you could possibly need and some as standard, I find the adaptive cruise control in particular an excellent feature. The 150bhp engine won't set the world alight but gives me around 51mpg on my 45 mile each way mainly motorway commute. There is plenty of room in the backseats which slide and recline and the seatback splits 40/20/40 which is great for skis. Only downside is the boot could be bigger but if you need that get the Allspace. I would recommend this car.
