I’m not very happy with nationwide vehicle contracts as when I took receipt of the vehicle I submitted s complaint that the front ref plate was put on slanted. After a while they got back to me and said they would send out new reg plates to be fitted. This has never been done and still after one year of having the car the ref plate on the front is on a slant.

The XC60 T8 Hybrid is excellent to drive. It is fairly spacious and offers plenty of load space. The comfort on long journeys is good. The specification of the car is out of this world. However the MPG is relatively poor and nothing like it says in the book. I have done 10000 miles on average charging 4 times a week at a cost of £1.50 per charge. £6 per week plus petrol returns 38 MPG. Over the years I have got used to the diesel economy and the Hybrid is certainly not worth the extra price. NOT VALUE FOR MONEY.

My vehicle is the Momentum auto spec which is the entry level on the XC60 range so I had to buy a reversing camera which I feel is an essential requirement especially with this size of vehicle. I feel a reversing camera should have been a standard on all vehicles in this price range and not an additional extra. My vehicle is a 2 litre petrol version and I’m averaging around 30mpg with a mixture of town and motorway driving which is acceptable to me. A family member has a diesel version of the same vehicle, leased after viewing my vehicle and he Is averaging 40mpg. The in-vehicle technology is superb on this version and covers all the bases including the excellent digital radio and sat nav. I personally feel a lot safer driving this vehicle with the in-vehicle safety features. Additional extras are extremely expensive such a foldaway tow bar for my bike rack which I declined to pay. Overall I would lease this vehicle again and found it reasonably priced compared to the similar vehicles in the Mercedes and Audi range with the same in-vehicle technology. I have had both these vehicle types in the past and noted with annoyance that some of the basic in-vehicle technology is not included on entry range versions and that is why I have been converted to Volvo.

overall a lovelty car, feels very luxurious. Main issues are simple ones, info system looks lovely but icons are very small, rear windscreen wiper does not wipe very well. Some minor electrical issues.

Poor fuel economy but otherwise a very good vehicle of its type.

MPG is not as good as I'd like, but the XC60 is incredibly comfortable for short and long trips. Great boot space. VOC App is great to track mileage used (and locking the car...!). The Nationwide fee fro every action/letter is a little frustrating - i.e. you renewing the VED on your own car - and charging me an admin fee?!!
