Nationwide Vehicle Contracts Limited is a credit broker, not a lender and we provide motor vehicle finance brokerage services to customers via third party finance providers on business and personal contract hire agreements. As a regulated credit broker, we may introduce you to a range of finance providers who may be able to help you finance your vehicle and provide other products/services, such as vehicle maintenance and servicing packages. We will only offer products from a carefully selected panel of finance providers. We will not refer you outside of this panel without your consent. You can ask us for a list of the suppliers who provide our finance and insurance products. All the products we offer are optional. We may receive a commission or other benefits from one of our finance providers should you decide to enter into an agreement with them as a result of our introduction or, from another credit broker to whom we refer you should we be unable to arrange funding for you. If you would like more information regard to the disclosure of commissions, please speak to your Sales Adviser.
Please check your quotation carefully to ensure you are happy with the product, the price summary and our fees. Please note, Nationwide Vehicle Contracts only offer Contract Hire and Personal Contract Hire agreements which are hire agreements, not purchase agreements. An explanation of the different elements of your quotation is included below:
Vehicle: The make, model, engine and variant of your vehicle. For vehicles not on a Complete Care package, please check you can obtain and afford the cost of insurance for the vehicle prior to accepting the order.
The vehicle specification displayed on our website is supplied by a third party known as CAP. Whilst every effort is made to ensure this information is accurate, it should only be used as a guide and no decision should be made to lease a specific vehicle without verification from either the manufacturer’s website or the franchised dealer. This includes any ICE vehicle fuel consumption and electric vehicle range data which may vary based on your driving style, added vehicle options, road, and weather conditions. Please check your order carefully to ensure it suits your exact requirements and if you wish to check or verify the exact specification of a particular vehicle, please speak to your sales consultant. All images on the website are for illustration purposes only.
Fuel Type: Please be aware that all new diesel vehicles are fitted either with a diesel particulate filter (DPF) and/or diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) technology which must be strictly maintained according to the manufacturer’s guidelines. Failure to do so may result in damage to the vehicle, which is NOT covered by the manufacturer’s warranty or a maintenance contract. Term: The term relates to the minimum duration of your contract, this is typically 24, 36 or 48 months. Additional charges may apply if you terminate the contract early.
Annual Mileage: The annual mileage of the contract. This represents the amount of miles you (the driver) intends to travel yearly.
Pre-Registered: For pre-registered vehicles, you will be entitled to the balance of the manufacturer’s warranty and roadside assistance cover. In the event that the warranty expires within the contract hire period, you will be liable for any repairs or breakdown costs, unless a maintenance package is purchased. An MOT may also be required (at customers cost) 3 years from published taxation point, in line with UK law.
Initial Rental: An advanced rental of usually equivalent to 3, 6 or 9 monthly rentals payable to finance company usually within 7 to 14 days of delivery, although some finance providers require this in advance. This amount forms part for the hire agreement and is non-refundable.
Maintenance Initial Rental: If Autoserve maintenance is selected, an initial rental will apply, in line with your chosen lease initial rental.
Processing Fee: The processing fee is the broker fee charged by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts for our service and represents the costs incurred for arranging the sale, ordering the vehicle, arranging the finance and organising delivery of the vehicle. This processing fee is payable by debit or credit card or by BACs payment.
Transaction Fee: The transaction fee represents the fee taken by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts Limited for the arrangement of the agreement and will be payable by debit or credit card or by BACs payment at point of order.
Monthly Rentals: The fixed monthly amount to be paid to the finance provider. Personal contract hire agreements include VAT at 20%.
Maintenance: The cost per month for maintenance package. If you wish to take a maintenance package as part of your vehicle, please contact your sales consultant for a formal quotation. If selected, the maintenance package includes manufacturer recommended servicing and excludes misuse, accident damage and vehicle glass. Please be aware that without a maintenance package, you will be responsible for all maintenance and servicing costs for the vehicle throughout the duration of your contract in line with the manufacturer’s schedule.
Total Rental: The total cost per month including the finance rental, maintenance (if funder supplied) and any other optional extras.
Excess Mileage: Any mileage over the agreed contract is charged at the excess mileage rate. This represents the cost charged in pence per mile. Please ensure you select mileage appropriate to you as some funders may not allow you to amend this at a later stage. Please note, some finance providers charge a higher rate excess mileage fee for mileage above 115% of the annual agreed figure. If this is applicable, this will be stated in your finance documentation.
Maintenance Excess Mileage: If Autoserve maintenance is selected, any mileage over the agreed contract is charged at the maintenance excess mileage rate. This represents the cost charged in pence per mile.
Road Tax: All of our vehicles come with Vehicle Excise Duty (VED), also known as road tax, for the duration of the contract or 12 months for Finance Lease agreements. During the term of your agreement and any extended term, the finance provider will arrange for the provision of the vehicle excise duty (VED) and include this into the cost of your agreement. Please note, if the cost of the VED goes up during the term of your agreement, or any extended term, you will be liable to pay the amount of any increase.
Roadside Assistance: The standard roadside assistance cover as offered by the manufacturer, or included in your maintenance package.
Pricing: Please note that whilst Nationwide Vehicle Contracts makes every effort to ensure that all "quoted" prices are maintained up until an "order" is confirmed, rentals are subject to change at any time by the funder and we reserve the right to pass on any price changes which may affect the rental originally quoted. In the unlikely event of a change to the rental, we will contact you by email or telephone to confirm if you wish to proceed with your order or to provide you with possible alternatives. If the alternative is not acceptable to you, Nationwide Vehicle Contracts will cancel your order without penalty and refund any monies paid.
Delivery: We will deliver your new lease vehicle directly to your doorstep, provided your address is situated on the GB mainland. For some locations in the Scotland, like Dundee (DD), Inverness (IV), Aberdeen (AB), Perth (PH), Oban (PA), Greenock (PA), Stranraer (DG), or Skye (IV), a delivery charge of up £450 may apply depending on the distance and vehicle manufacturer. If you live in Northern Ireland, you'll need to meet the delivery driver at Cairnryan, Stranraer, or Liverpool Birkenhead port to receive your vehicle. For customers on the Isle of Wight, there may be an additional charge for delivery to the island. Alternatively, you can meet the delivery agent at the ports of Southampton or Portsmouth for handover. For all port handovers, you must be present in person and present the required identification.
Quoted delivery lead times are our "best estimate" based on the information given to us by the brand supplier. Whilst we try our best to give you an accurate delivery date, delivery dates are subject to change by the manufacturer and on occasion delays do occur due to production issues. We will keep you informed of any changes to your vehicle's delivery date so you can make any necessary arrangements. Nationwide Vehicle Contracts has we have no control over the manufacturer lead times and will not accept any responsibility for any losses or inconvenience caused by a delay from the manufacturer.
Please note, once the vehicle has landed with the supplying dealership, customers must be willing to take delivery. Failure to do so may result in the vehicle being taken by the retail division or sold to another customer. We encourage all customers to carefully review our delivery terms and conditions, and to keep in mind that quoted delivery lead times are subject to change by the manufacturer.
Home EV Charge Point: If you have selected a Home EV Charge Point, we will email you with details on how to purchase directly from Pod Point. The price of the EV home charger is not included in your monthly rental and will need to be paid for separately, directly with Pod Point.
SMART, SMART Plus and Tyre and Alloy Insurance: If you have selected SMART, SMART Plus or Tyre and Alloy Insurance, we will be in touch to discuss suitability and eligibility. Please note, the price of this product is not included in your monthly rental and must be purchased and paid for separately by debit/credit card or direct debit. For further information or to purchase this product, please call our Minor Damage Insurance team on 0161 300 7437 once you have a confirmed delivery date for your vehicle.
Please be aware that Nationwide Vehicle Contracts do not provide the provision of a hire vehicle in the event that your delivery lead time is put back by the manufacturer. If you require a hire vehicle in the interim, this can be booked through Europcar on our website.
Your vehicle will be delivered in a driven condition to the specified address, provided your address is situated on the UK mainland. Your vehicle will have delivery mileage according to where it is transported from. If this is the case, please be assured that this mileage will not be counted towards the mileage allowance shown in your agreement. If you require Vehicle Transported Delivery (the vehicle is delivered on a trailer/transporter) this can be arranged but an additional charge will be made. Please speak to your leasing consultant for further information.
Returning Your Vehicle: At the end of your agreement, the vehicle must be returned to the finance company and will be inspected for any damage that falls outside what is deemed ‘fair wear and tear’. You can find out more about how fair wear and tear guidelines work in our Fair Wear and Tear Guide.
Missed Payments: If you miss a payment, additional interest and fees may be charged and this may also impact your credit file. Late payments can also result in termination of the contract with all remaining rental payments due.
Cancellation Rights: If you wish to cancel your order with us, please follow the instructions in our Your Cancellation Rights guide. For consumers entitled to a refund, this will be issued within 28 working days from the day we which receive the cancellation notification.
