Our Fiat Doblo Crew review covers:
The Fiat Doblo Crew is a unique-looking van that stands out from the crowd. Although following the small van principles of Stellantis, the Doblo changes it up at the front, having a minimalist front grille and slick headlights.
Inside the Doblo Crew, there's a good amount of headroom in the front, but if you're over six feet tall, legroom could be an issue. For those in the rear, there's enough room to get comfortable, however, we'd recommend it for shorter journeys rather than long-distance ones.
Open the rear doors and the Doblo Crew has a load volume of 3.5m3 and can carry up to 843kg of cargo. There's also a steel-framed mesh bulkhead with two positions to divide the passengers from the cargo on board.
The interior of the Doblo Crew will fit the bill for you and your crew, but it's nothing special. There are a few soft-touch surfaces on the dashboard, and it feels well-built, but it doesn't feel as premium as the Ford Transit Connect or Toyota ProAce Crew.
The Doblo Crew has an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the dash with a DAB radio, sat-nav, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and Bluetooth. It's a good system that's relatively easy to use and also features buttons around the side.
Just one trim is available for the Doblo Crew. Labelled Maxi, it comes with 15-inch wheels, twin-panelled rear doors, an off-side sliding door without a window, manual air conditioning, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system, three seats in the second row, a speed limiter, emergency brake assist, and remote control central locking.
The engine range comprises a 1.5-litre diesel engine, labelled the BlueHDi. It has a power output of 100hp, develops 250Nm of torque, and returns a fuel economy of 49.5mpg.
The Fiat Doblo Crew is a relatively good car to drive. It's nimble and agile around town and can also handle itself on the motorway. At lower speeds, it has a tight turning circle, which makes navigating city streets a breeze, and its suspension system tackles potholes and bumps in the road well.
Increase up to motorway speeds, and the Doblo Crew is a confident cruiser. The engine is relatively quiet and there's loads of road grip when cornering with full cargo. It's probably not as engaging as the Ford Transit Connect, but it should fit the bill.
