A swiss army knife of a vehicle. Can be used as a day van with the flexible seating in the rear, or as a van with these removed. Very comfy on long journeys with plenty of space for luggage etc, full of equipment - front + rear air con, adaptive cruise, heated / electric seats, rear camera and the large infotainment touch screen is excellent. The only downsides are the auto gear box is a little sluggish and kills the fuel economy down to around 30mpg but that's about it.
I usually love a Ford Transit, but this one has had no end of problems with all the added technology they have tried to put on it - it's been back so many times to have the "clever stuff" fixed that next time I wouldn't bother will all the extras, they just don't do it well enough!
Oil warning message came on and AdBlue empty at around 2400 miles, went to Evans Halshaw in Preston they were awful..!!!
Came on again I think around 5600 miles, took it back again, they arranged to lend me a van but it was filthy!! Disgusting!
At 9,200 miles gear stick fell to bits!
At 9700miles Oil message back on again!! booked it in with a van to run about in but on the morning I arrived they said they didn't have a vehicle they could lend me, had to re-schedule it again! Been driving around now for over a month with low oil warning message coming on every time I start it up!
Paint on the OffSide running step is all peeling off, I reckon it's because the van was late being delivered to me due to some damage that had to be resprayed... I presume this was resprayed as the other side is OK. I've tried to find out what work was carried out before I took delivery but no one seems able to help me, I am so Fed up, as I don't want any blame for this when the vehicle goes back off lease!
All in all I can't wait to get rid.!!
