Performance Breakdown

The Transit Dropside's performance credentials centre around Ford's advanced 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel engines, available in 130PS and 165PS variants.

The 130PS engine produces 360Nm of torque, ideal for urban deliveries and light construction work, while the 165PS variant generates 405Nm for heavier loads and demanding terrain.

Interior and Exterior Design

The Transit Dropside's exterior design prioritises functionality without sacrificing Ford's contemporary styling language. It's good to look at while also coming with a galvanised steel frame, fold-down sides, and reinforced mounting points.

Inside, the cab offers a professional environment with ergonomic seating for up to seven occupants in Double Cab variants.

Practical Applications

The Transit Dropside excels across diverse commercial applications. The open-bed design accommodates oversized loads, palletised goods, and irregularly shaped cargo that wouldn't fit in enclosed vans.

The various wheelbase options also allow businesses to select the optimal configuration for their specific needs - L2 for urban manoeuvrability, L4 for maximum cargo capacity, or L5 for specialist applications.

Technology Overview

Ford SYNC 4 forms the technological heart of the Transit Dropside, featuring a 12-inch touchscreen with intuitive interface design and cloud-based connectivity. The system supports simultaneous connection of two smartphones with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, ensuring seamless communication and navigation.

Customisation Options

The Dropside supports extensive customisation options to meet specific business requirements. Options include single or dual rear wheels, all-wheel drive, caged sides, and reinforced beds for heavy-duty use.

Why Choose This Model
