Medium Van FAQs

A medium sized van is a short or medium wheelbase panel van that is compact enough to manoeuvre around busy city streets yet flexible enough to carry wide and heavy loads when required. 

With average load space dimensions of 2.4 metres (length), 1.7 metres (width) and 1.4 - 1.65 metres (height), as well as side doors and rear-loading capabilities, medium panel vans are incredibly versatile, making them popular with joiners, plumbers, builders and other manual workers who tend to carry larger items.

Medium sized vans remain one of the most popular van choices with buyers and leasers alike so it’s understandable that almost every commercial vehicle manufacturer has a medium van in their vehicle range. Current medium sized panel vans available to lease with Nationwide Vehicle Contracts include the Citroen Dispatch, Vauxhall Vivaro, Ford Transit Custom and the electric Nissan eNV200. 

Delivery lead times vary depending on the manufacturer and model. Where possible, we will always provide an estimated lead time prior to order. 

Medium vans marked as “in stock” are usually available for delivery within four to six weeks. If you are looking for a small van with quick delivery, check out our Van Fast Lease offers. 

Lead times for factory orders vary but can be anywhere from two weeks to six months. You can read more in our Understanding Delivery Lead Times guide.  

Van leasing is a long-term rental agreement offering the exclusive use of a van for a set period of time. You pay an initial rental, followed by a series of monthly payments for a period of 2, 3 or 4 years. At the end of the contract, the van is handed back to the finance provider without any further obligations.
