The Peugeot Expert Crew is a medium-sized crew van that's ideal for businesses needing cargo space and the ability to transport staff. The Expert Crew stands out with its good-looking exterior and excellent performance capabilities.
Rivals to the Expert Crew include the Ford Transit Custom, Volkswagen Transporter, Toyota Proace, and Vauxhall Vivaro.
Our Peugeot Expert Crew review covers:
The Expert Crew is yet another Stellantis van, meaning it follows the same design principles as the Vauxhall Vivaro, Citroen Dispatch, and Fiat Scudo. This is no bad thing; it has a dynamic exterior with sharp headlights, large air intakes under the grille, and an aerodynamic body.
The interior of the Expert Crew is pleasant and well-built, but it's not as spacious as we'd like. Because the roof slopes down towards the windscreen and the forward positioning of the dash, there's quite a claustrophobic feel in the front, especially if there are two passengers.
The Expert Crew is available in two lengths: Standard and Long. The former has a load volume of 3.2m3 while the latter increases it to 4.0m4. You also get a payload of up to 1,260kg and a load length of 2,017mm (standard) or 2,365mm (long).
The Expert Crew offers a comfortable, well-designed cabin with quality materials that convey a premium feel. The dashboard is simple, and every touchpoint feels well-made. All the seats are comfortable, including the second row, and there's a height-adjustable steering wheel.
On the dash, there's a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a DAB radio, Bluetooth, smartphone mirroring, and coffee break alert (indicates when you've been driving continually for 2 hours). The system works well and displays sharp graphics, but it could do with increasing in size to make it a bit easier to use when on the move.
Just one trim is available for the Expert Crew. It has 16-inch steel wheels, daytime running lights, rear parking sensors, air conditioning, lumbar adjustment for the driver's seat, a plastic bulkhead, rear parking sensors, and cruise control with a variable speed limiter.
Under the bonnet, the Expert Crew comes with a four-cylinder diesel engine that's labelled BlueHDi 145. It has 144hp, tops out at 106mph, and returns a fuel economy of between 33 and 38mpg.
The Expert Crew is a nimble and agile van, making it well-suited for urban environments and tight spaces. At lower speeds, its steering is precise and accurate, while the suspension tackles potholes and bumps in the road with ease. Compared to its rivals, the Expert Crew is undoubtedly one of the best crew vans to navigate urban environments in.
On the motorway, the Expert Crew maintains its impressive performance by providing a stable and composed ride. Its handling is once again precise, and the diesel engine delivers a good balance of power and fuel efficiency.
