Used Van Leasing

Used van leasing lets you drive a quality used vehicle without the costs and responsibilities of ownership. You pay an initial rental followed by fixed monthly payments over two, three, or four years. At the end of the agreement, simply return the vehicle to the finance provider.

Used van leasing can be a great option for businesses that want to keep costs predictable and affordable. It can be particularly useful for sole traders and growing businesses who need a tried and trusted van to get their business moving. 

All of our used van leasing contracts include the following:

• Free GB mainland delivery*
• Minimum six-months MOT
• Minimum six-months breakdown cover
• Road tax for the duration of the contract

*For some locations in Scotland, the Scottish Highlands and Scottish Islands such as Dundee (DD), Inverness (IV), Aberdeen (AB), Perth (PH), Oban (PA), Greenock (PA) Stranraer (DG) and Skye (IV) a delivery charge of up £450 may be applicable depending on distance and supplying vehicle manufacturer. • Maintenance, Servicing & MOT (packages available)
• Extended warranty and breakdown (packages available)

Yes, you can lease a used van through a limited company, subject to finance approval. Business contract hire is available for used van leasing, making it a suitable option for businesses looking to add or replace a vehicle. 

Used van leasing can include pickup trucks, small vans, and medium vans, depending on stock availability. 

We recommend that you check our Used Van Leasing Deals page regularly as stock moves fast. 

Every used van is inspected, safety checked, valeted and refurbished (where necessary) to meet minimum pickup quality standards or van quality standards.

Our minimum quality standards include:

• The tyres must have a minimum tread depth of 3mm
• If a service is required prior to delivery, this will be completed on the vehicle
• All vehicles must have a minimum of six months of MOT
• We conduct safety checks and perform valeting to ensure cleanliness

Please note, while all our used lease vans are checked in line with BVRLA standards, you should expect to see visible signs of wear and tear across the bodywork and wheels, in line with the age and mileage of the van. Each vehicle is priced accordingly, and its condition is taken into account. 

All our used vans come with a minimum six-month MOT, after which you are responsible for all servicing and MOT costs for the vehicle throughout the duration of your contract in line with UK law and the manufacturer’s schedule.  

You have the option to spread costs with our optional used maintenance package which includes routine servicing, maintenance, premium tyres and other repair or replacement costs (exclusions apply) that might be required during the contract.

Depending on a used van's age and mileage, the remaining balance of the standard manufacturer’s warranty may still be applicable. However, since the finance provider can't electronically track the vehicle's service history, we cannot guarantee the warranty's status.

You can purchase an extended warranty policy at point of order to help cover any unexpected repair costs with an unlimited number of claims and a maximum claim liability up to the value of the vehicle. You can read more on our Extended Warranty page.

Road Fund Licence (otherwise known as road tax or Vehicle Excise Duty) is included for the duration of the contract. For more information, check our handy Taxing a Lease Vehicle guide.

All our used lease vans will include a minimum six months of roadside assistance, starting from the day of delivery. Assistance is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, throughout the United Kingdom.  

At the end of the inclusive breakdown period, you will be liable for any breakdown costs, unless a breakdown assist policy is purchased as part of the contract. Find out more on our Breakdown Cover page.  

Some modifications may be allowed, including shelving, racking, flooring upgrades, and ply lining, subject to approval. 

However, permanent bodywork and structural changes are not allowed. 

Before making any changes, get in touch with one of our leasing advisors. 

Each used van includes detailed imagery and condition information before ordering, including 14 shots plus imperfection tags, helping you get a clearer view of the van's condition. These images detail the exterior and interior condition of the vehicle. You will also be able to inspect the vehicle on the day of delivery, prior to signing the delivery note. 

You will not be able to view the used van in person prior to delivery as Nationwide Vehicle Contracts do not hold the stock cars. All of our used vehicles are held by the finance provider at a compound that is not open to the general public. 

The mileage of our used vans vary depending on their age and where the vehicle is sourced from. You will be advised of the mileage of the vehicle at the point of order. Any mileage already on the vehicle prior to handover will not count towards your annual mileage allowance.  

If you exceed your annual mileage allowance, you will be charged a fixed amount for each extra mile. This amount can be found in your finance agreement.

Your new vehicle will be driven to your home address or business address, provided your address is situated on the GB mainland.

Where possible, we try to arrange delivery at a time and date that is convenient for you. Deliveries generally take place Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am and 5.30pm.

If you need to return your vehicle before the end of your contract, you will be subject to the usual early termination policy and charges. Early termination is at the discretion of the finance provider so please contact the Nationwide Vehicle Contracts team on 0345 811 9595 to discuss your options.
