Used Van Quality Standards

Our mechanical and electrical inspection ensures:

• All electronic safety features and devices are working, e.g. parking sensors, camera etc.
• The van is roadworthy with no warning lights illuminated
• There's no impact damage to the underside of the van
• There is a minimum 20 litres of fuel, or 80% battery charge, to allow delivery to the customer
• Any mechanical parts fitted by aftermarket brands are in line with the EU-approved standard

The vehicle's exterior is inspected to ensure:

• All lights are in working order and meet MOT current standards
• All original badges and logos are in place and in good order
• No blue or yellow light or sound bars/warning sounds
• Bumpers, molding and panels may have light scratches and/or shallow dents less than 75mm
• Shallow dents to panels less than 30mm may be present (maximum 10 per side) 
• Less than 15 chips below 3mm on forward-facing panels may be present
• The load liner is fully functioning with no holes
• Running boards and bull bars are fully fitted and secure
• Tow bars are fully operational. Cosmetic damage may be present, provided it does not impact the tow bar's operation or safety of use
• Fully compliant and secure canopies with a minimum of one operational key
• Fully operational load covers with no holes or major dents
• There's no rust or corrosion on any part of the painted bodywork, including painted bumpers, body moulding and mirrors
• Windscreens meet current MOT standards
• Light scratches on glass are less than 50mm and are not within the driver's line of sight

NOTE: Cosmetic damage, such as multiple minor scuffs, scratches. light chipping and dents that have not broken the paint surface and are not visible from two metres, may be present on the vehicle in line with the age and mileage of the vehicle.

The van's interior is checked to ensure:

• Seats, door trims, and carpets are in good order
• No cuts or burns to interior upholstery
• Light scuffing to rear load area and to interior trim may be present
• All switches and displays are in full working order
• All original equipment, accessories and controls are present and operate correctly
• The vehicle is fully valeted

NOTE: Some of our used vans may show more visible signs of wear and tear, such as minor scuff damage to interior carpet, trims, MMI screens and switches, and minor chipping plus PDR dents to rear load area and body panels that have not broken the paint surface. 

Checks in relation to the maintenance and service history of the van to ensure:

• The vehicle will be delivered with a minimum of six months MOT
• The vehicle will be delivered with a minimum of six months service
• The service history supplied with the vehicle will be present and either date-stamped or visible on the digital service record 
• Two keys will be present and in working order
• An off-site road test of up to 40mph for two miles is completed

NOTE: We do not guarantee that the vehicle has been fully maintained in line with the manufacturer's recommendations.

A check will be carried out on the vehicle's tyres and wheels to ensure:

• Wheels are in good order with no dents, holes, or buckles
• All tyres meet the manufacturer's specifications with load and speed rating
• Tyre tread wear is above 3mm and across 75% of the tyre (legal limit 1.6mm)
• Wheel damage less than 40mm may be present. Light damage or previous repair not visible from two metres is acceptable
• Brake pads have a minimum 4mm remaining (legal limit 1.5mm)
• Brake discs are visually checked and not excessively scored or corroded within MOT standard
• Tyres do not need to match cross axle
• The locking wheel nut key (if appropriate) is included
