The Vauxhall Combo-e Crew is an electric crew van that's a sensible choice for businesses. Offering a range of over 200 miles and a spacious interior, the Combo-e Crew is a practical and usable electric crew van.
Rivals to the Combo-e Crew include the Nissan Townstar Electric Crew, Fiat e-Doblo Crew, Peugeot e-Partner Crew, and Renault Kangoo E-Tech Crew.
Our Vauxhall Combo-e Crew review covers:
The Vauxhall Combo-e Crew is a Stellantis van, so what does that mean? On top of sharing its foundations with the Peugeot e-Partner Crew and Renault Kangoo E-Tech Crew, it also looks very good. There's a clean front grille, slick LED headlights, and a black strip and sliding doors on the side.
Inside the Combo-e Crew, there's plenty of room for all five passengers. For those in the front, there's plenty of head and legroom and generous amounts of cargo space for all your work-related gadgets, such as a full-width overhead storage shelf. In the rear, there's a decent amount of space for three passengers, and you shouldn't get too many complaints on longer journeys.
Open the rear doors, and you'll find 3.5m3 of load volume and a payload of 642kg, which falls short of the standard Combo-e. If you need a tad more space for larger items, you can fold the rear seats to increase load volume to 4.0m3.
The Combo-e Crew's cabin is designed with comfort and durability in mind. On the dash, there's a nice blend of premium materials, such as soft-touch plastics, with hard plastics that can handle the hustle and bustle of business life.
The Combo-e Crew comes standard with a smartphone station, which allows you to use your phone to control the infotainment system. We recommend upgrading to the Pro trim, which adds a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system that features a DAB radio, hands-free speaking, wireless smartphone connectivity, and a built-in navigation system.
Two trims are available for the Combo-e Crew: Prime and Pro.
Prime comes with 16-inch steel wheels, an adjustable steering column, a six-way adjustable driver's seat, a 12v socket in the dashboard, rear parking sensors, lane keep assist, and a vinyl load floor covering.
Pro adds a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system and 10-inch digital instrument cluster, PVC floor covering in the cabin, matrix LED headlights, a dynamic surround view, and a remote control security alarm system.
The Combo-e Crew is powered by a 52kWh battery paired with a 136hp electric motor. It can travel up to 205 miles on a single charge and can go from 0 to 62mph in around 12 seconds.
Using a 7.4kW standard charger, it can fully charge in seven and a half hours. Rapid charging is available up to 100kW, which can fill the battery from 0 to 80% in just 30 minutes.
On the road, the Combo-e Crew is a very capable van. It handles itself well around town, which can be attributed to the low sense of gravity and underfloor battery placement. The steering is also light and precise, which makes scooting around the city relatively straightforward.
If you find yourself on the motorway, the Combo-e Crew is pretty composed and relaxed. There's limited wind and road noise, and the range is decent for a crew van.
