The Vauxhall Movano-e is a large electric van that has significantly improved in recent years. Now with a range of over 200 miles, it is a practical option for businesses looking to go green.
Rivals to the Movano-e include the Ford E-Transit, Maxus eDeliver 9, Fiat e-Ducato, Peugeot e-Boxer, and Citroen e-Relay.
Our Vauxhall Movano-e review covers:
The Movano-e is a large van, and while practicality and versatility are essential, Vauxhall has done a decent job of making it look pretty good. There's a sleek and minimal front end, a boxy main body, and simple lines throughout.
Step inside, and the Movano-e is spacious and practical. In the front, there's ample head and legroom, and the passenger bench is relatively spacious, meaning you shouldn't be rubbing shoulders all too often. There's also great storage, including a massive glovebox and an overhead storage compartment.
The Movano-e is available in three lengths and three heights. At its biggest, it can carry a load of up to 17m3 and a maximum payload of up to 1,385kg. In the rear, there are a few nice design touches, including durable flooring and multiple tie-down points to help secure your cargo.
After a hard day's graft, you'll be happy in the cabin of the Movano-e. There's a nice balance of plush materials and build quality that makes for a durable and pleasant cabin. Yes, it's not as premium as the Ford E-Transit, but it's more than good enough.
On the dash, you'll find a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with built-in sat-nav and smartphone connectivity. There's also a seven-inch screen behind the steering wheel for the digital driver's display. The tech won't blow you away, but it does its job in a large van. It's easy to use, functional, and won't distract you.
Just one trim is available for the Movano-e: Prime.
It has 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic air conditioning, keyless entry and go, rear parking sensors, a side-sliding door, a rear-view camera, a full-height steel bulkhead, traffic sign recognition, and driver drowsiness detection.
The Movano-e is powered by a 110kWh battery that's paired with a 200kW electric motor. It returns an electric range of up to 261 miles and reaches a top speed of 80mph.
It comes with an 11kW charger as standard, which can fully charge in just under 12 hours. Rapid charging is available up to 150kW, which charges from 0% to 80% in just 55 minutes.
On the road, the Movano-e is surprisingly agile for a van of its size. The electric motor provides instant torque, which makes inner-city driving relatively straightforward, and the range of driver assistance tech helps when parking and navigating tight city streets.
Find yourself on the motorway, and it's a pleasant cruiser. While you certainly won't be flying along in the outside lane, the Movano-e is a relaxing drive at 70mph.
For the first time, it also comes with level two autonomous driving. The combination of adaptive cruise control and its driver assistance systems allows the Movano-e to steer, brake, and accelerate itself at up to 18mph! All you have to do is keep your hands on the steering wheel.
