Our Vauxhall Vivaro Double Cab review covers:
The Vivaro Double Cab is a good-looking van considering its size and purpose. It has a large front grille, clean lines from front to back, and sleek headlights. If you're looking to impress on-site, the Vivaro Double Cab is the van for you.
One of the standout features of the Vivaro Double Cab is its spacious and flexible interior. It has two rows of seats available to fit up to six passengers. The first row has two comfortable seats with plenty of leg and headroom, while the second adopts a bench-style seat. The sliding doors on the side also make getting into the second row a breeze.
Boot space varies depending on what wheelbase and roof height you choose. For L2H1, it has a payload of 1,170kg and a load volume of 4m3, whereas for the shorter L1H1, it has a payload of 1,259kg and a load volume of 3.2m3.
The interior of the Vivaro Double Cab is one of the best in its class. You'll find several different grades of plastic on the dashboard, which not only looks good but feels nice when using the buttons and switches.
You'll find a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the dashboard with a DAB radio, Bluetooth connectivity, USB ports, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. Upgrade to the GS trim, and you'll get a 3.5-inch digital instrument cluster and a voice control system.
Two trim levels are available: Prime and GS.
Prime comes with 16-inch wheels, halogen headlights, a three-spoke steering wheel, a six-way adjustable driver's seat, Curitiba cloth upholstery, air conditioning, cruise control, and a rear parking sensor.
GS adds 18-inch wheels, a leather steering wheel, a sport-style rear spoiler, perforated eco-leather upholstery, a 3.5-inch digital instrument cluster, voice control technology, a panoramic rear-view camera, and a driver drowsiness system.
Two diesel engines are available for the Vivaro Double Cab, either a turbocharged 1.5-litre or a turbocharged 2.0-litre.
The 1.5-litre is available in two power outputs, 100hp or 200hp. It comes with an official fuel economy of 56.5mpg and is paired with a manual gearbox.
The 2.0-litre unit is best if you plan on having a full load most of the time. It's available in three power outputs, 120hp, 150hp, or 180hp, which will undoubtedly help when travelling from job to job with a van full of kit. It's worth noting the first and last power outputs are paired with an automatic gearbox.
On the road, the Vivaro Double Cab is a comfortable drive. It rides softly compared to some of its rivals, which doesn't change whether you've got a full load.
It's also pretty nimble around town for a van of its size which is handy for jobs requiring tight parking manoeuvres.
