Looks nice and modern and has good storage however, gear changes are always very jolty and are never smooth. The technology in the car does not work very well, it has wireless charging but in order to use my phone I have to have it plugged in which means there are cables and the wireless charging point may as well not be in the car. Currently there is a problem with the batteries which means my car has had to be jump started every time I need to go somewhere until I can get the car into a garage which is not helpful or practical. Twice I have been stranded with a 6 month old child. Every time the car is turned on it uses electricity even though it won’t start and constantly has alerts or notifications about what is not working due to the electrics not working.

Having changed (due to drastic reduction in annual mileage) from the excellent VW Tiguan Auto the Ford Puma manual is what it is for that range of car. Main complaint is the jerky gearbox with constant gear changing to keep revs up. Motorway driving 65-70 comfortable, over that the noise level increases noticeably. Petrol consumption disappointing for a small engine ( driving technique accepted). Ford Puma has a lot going for it,however, the overall driving experience lets it down.

Disappointed not supplied with spare wheel tyre repair kits would be no use if tyre was damaged beyond repair.

I've enjoyed driving a Ford Puma this last year. Although I cannot yet comment on longer term reliability, there have been no problems with the car so far. The petrol hybrid engine is efficient and gives good performance. Being a compact SUV type vehicle, the driving position is elevated which is great when driving, but the raised bonnet profile can make close maneuvering slightly trickier. So far I'm split as to whether I prefer the Puma over my previous car, it's absolutely my 1st or 2nd favourite ever.
