I’ve had other cars before as well as previous golf models. They remain my favourite car. Good size, practical and a comfy ride.

Paul Volkswagen Golf Hatchback 1.5 TSI R-Line 5dr

The vehicle itself is excellent. Drives well, comfortable, economic. The tech on the other hand is very poor. In particular the satnav. It constantly fails to know where the vehicle is, shows me driving in the middle of fields, rivers etc. I am unable to reset it or connect to the internet as ALD did not factory reset the system, which would have allowed me to be the primary user rather than a guest. This hampers any ability for me to update or change connectivity issues. Not what you would expect from a vehicle with legendary build quality. Mechanically good. Technology very bad.

Having driven Volkswagen Golf’s since 2003, and this is my second Golf R I can absolutely say I would have another. The performance is outstanding and is very good value for money.

Had some driving code errors initially which resulted in the steering wheel needing to be replaced. After that everything else has been very good with the car.

I love the vehicle, it's the second Golf R I have had and they are great cars. Only disappointment was that it didn't come with heated seats, which both my last two cars have, but besides that it is a great car.
