Decent drive, very economical, Apple CarPlay is great. The Stop/Start function is unpredictable and the lane assist has to be turned off for every journey.

The vehicle was advertised as having heated seats. However the heated seats are “on demand” and I still haven’t fathomed out how that works. My local vw garage couldn’t help.

The VW Gomf Gti I'd my dream car, having either owned or leased all models from Mk 2. It's comfortable on long journeys, has ample space for passengers, is easy to park and best of all for me, is small enough to fit into my 1930s garage! Using Eco mode, I get around 48mpg, which is excellent taking account of the engine size. It's nippy and has powerful acceleration when needed. All in all, an excellent choice!
