Design, Practicality and Boot Space

The design of the Kia ProCeed Shooting Brake is a standout feature, blending sporty aesthetics with practicality. It takes the form of a sleek and elongated estate car, often referred to as a "shooting brake." The term "shooting brake" typically signifies a sporty, wagon-like design with a sloping roofline, which the ProCeed embodies. This design choice contributes to a sportier and more dynamic profile compared to traditional estate cars.

The ProCeed Shooting Brake showcases a distinctive and attractive exterior design. It features Kia's signature tiger-nose grille at the front, sleek LED headlights, and a pronounced shoulder line that runs along the sides, emphasizing its sporty stance. Inside, the interior design reflects a blend of style and functionality. Quality materials and thoughtful details provide a premium feel. The cabin is designed with a focus on driver comfort and ease of use, with intuitive controls and well-arranged features.

Kia ProCeed Shooting Brake Exterior

The ProCeed Shooting Brake prioritizes practicality alongside its sporty design. It's designed to cater to those seeking versatility for everyday use and longer journeys. The elongated roofline contributes to a more spacious interior, particularly for rear passengers. The rear seats offer ample legroom and headroom, enhancing overall comfort during travel. The vehicle offers a flexible cargo area with a practical low-loading lip, making it easy to load and unload items. The rear seats can be folded down in a split configuration, allowing for various cargo-carrying options and accommodating larger items.

The boot space in the Kia ProCeed Shooting Brake is a significant practical feature, crucial for individuals requiring ample storage capacity. The Kia ProCeed offers 594 litres of boot space which is generous, providing ample room for luggage, groceries, sports equipment, or other items. The 60/40 split-folding rear seats further enhance the practicality by enabling a versatile load-carrying capacity. When the rear seats are folded down, it substantially expands the boot space, accommodating larger items and maximizing utility.

Interior and Trims

The interior of the ProCeed may not be the most attention-grabbing in its class (for a more striking interior, consider the latest DS 4). However, it's uplifted with accents of silver trim on the dashboard and doors. The predominant colour scheme comprises various shades of black and dark grey. Due to the relatively narrow windows, the interior can sometimes feel a bit dim, especially towards the back. Nonetheless, it exudes a sporty ambience that aligns with the car's purpose.

Sitting atop the ProCeed's dashboard is a 10.25-inch touchscreen display, providing access to the infotainment system. While some competing cars boast crisper, more contemporary graphics for their infotainment systems, the ProCeed's screen is responsive, promptly reacting to icon selections or zooming in on the navigation map. Although there are alternatives with slightly smoother systems, it fares notably better than the somewhat bothersome setup found in the latest Volkswagen Group cars, including the VW Golf, Skoda Octavia, and SEAT Leon. Alternatively, you can opt for connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, bypassing Kia's proprietary system. Standard features include dual-zone climate control, heated front seats and steering wheel, Bluetooth, DAB radio, and accessible aux-in and USB ports.

Two trim levels are available: GT-Line and GT-Line S.

It's surprising to think of the GT-Line as the starting point for the ProCeed, given its extensive array of features. Included are 17-inch alloy wheels, tinted windows, heated seats and steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen.

Moving up to the GT Line S models, enhancements encompass a spacious sunroof, a digital driver's display, simulated leather upholstery on the seats, and adaptive cruise control. Additionally, you'll enjoy added conveniences like a power-operated tailgate and a self-parking system.

Power and Performance

The ProCeed is exclusively equipped with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine generating 160 horsepower. This engine offers a good balance between fuel efficiency and practical performance.

Kia ProCeed Shooting Brake Interior

When it comes to driving, the ProCeed is user-friendly and generally offers a quiet ride. However, visibility from the rear is somewhat limited. Its lowered sports suspension and large wheels may make it less comfortable compared to some other compact family cars. Despite this, it boasts a comprehensive set of standard safety features, aiming to prevent avoidable accidents.

Overall, the Kia ProCeed Shooting Brake impresses with its stylish design, practicality, and a good balance of performance and technology. It's a compelling option for those in search of a distinctive and versatile vehicle that stands out in both form and function.

Leasing vs Buying

The Kia ProCeed Shooting Brake is now available for purchase at a starting on-the-road price of £25,705.00*, or it can be leased with monthly payments starting from £204.67.

Vehicle has been great, nationwide very good value for money. The only area where they fall down is when contacting them by phone, if there is an issue they aren’t the most helpful and seem to pass the buck with you never getting a straight answer.

Comfortable ride and seating position. Great value for money. Quick off the mark and lovely engine sound (if somewhat artificial in sport mode). Automatic gear box makes it difficult to drive economically and makes it difficult to achieve advertised MPG but you don't drive this car for that.
